Cedar & Oak
Mill Courtby Panfile Ltd
Mill Court, Bidborough in Kent; a bold and stylish new build development constructed by Panfile Ltd.
Comprising 5 detached houses and 4 attached units, the design is a unique blend of modern design & traditional features, combining clean lines of clear oiled cedar cladding with an external Oak frame left to weather naturally. With the addition of painted joinery screens and floating glass panels, this development shows just how well different materials can complement each other.
A Durable Solution
Both Cedar and Oak are classified as durable timbers, with an expected life of 15 - 25 years, but in our experience can last much longer if well looked after.
Hewins are delighted to have worked with Panfile on both the Western Red Cedar and Oak used in this project. Planed to a 45 x 45mm square section, we supplied over 14,000 linear metres (46000 ft) to clad the dwellings.
