Supporting a local community’s 'Oaktober' Fest. Oakhanger, Hampshire
The Oakhanger community celebrated the arrival of Autumn with a beer tasting tour of the UK to raise much needed funds for the Village Hall.
With a top pick of brews from each region of the UK to choose from, the event also celebrated the local beer and cider producers with a selection from nearby.
We were delighted to be able to sponsor this event and support the people of Oakhanger on their evening of good beer, good food, good music and good company!
Alex and I just wanted to write to you on behalf of the Oakhanger Village Hall Committee to say a huge thank you for sponsoring our first ever beer festival, “Oak-tober Fest”.
We held the event over two days across three four-hour sessions, and are delighted to say that all of these were well attended, and we received a lot of positive feedback from those who came.
Most importantly we raised an incredible £3,600 for the village hall. All of this goes towards the annual running costs of the hall, which have increased substantially over the past couple of years. Any surplus will go towards repaying the loan taken out to complete the refurbishment of the hall four years ago.
The festival was a huge success and exceeded all our expectations and it would not have been possible without your support and help. By sponsoring Oak-tober Fest, you enabled us to ensure that we had a fantastic choice of beers and cider available. It also meant that we could book fantastic local talent to appear on our music stage rigged with professional standard lighting and PA system.
Thank you again for supporting us. It was a brilliant weekend that showcased our village and has meant that Oakhanger Village Hall can continue to be an asset to everyone in the local community.
