Mead’s Farmhouse Kitchen is set in the beautiful rolling countryside of the Chiltern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, and belongs to a sixth-generation family who have been farming the area since 1860!

Tradition is important to the Mead family, so an oak-framed structure was an obvious choice when it came to expanding the current set-up. Using our Fresh Sawn Oak Beams, Oxford Oak Developments created an incredible barn-like space which is light and airy, yet still welcoming. The smooth, golden tone from the solid oak beams harmoniously blends with expert craftsmanship, and results in a superior finish.

The beautiful timbers, traditionally joined and pegged, bring something of the history of the farm to this new structure, giving it a sense of the tradition that underpins this enterprise and bring a warm, natural feel to the interior.
